Are there any complications?

Ces complications comprennent :

• La cellulite bactérienne

Bonne nouvelle toutefois, vous pouvez réduire et même éviter complètement ces complications en appliquant chacune des mesures suivantes :

• Portez un vêtement de compression bien ajusté comme indiqué par vos soignants et renouvelez votre vêtement compressif de jour aux 4 mois. Consultez nos conseils sur la compression. 
• Drainez quotidiennement la lymphe en combinant l’activité physique, la respiration profonde, l’automassage et/ou le drainage professionnel. Consultez nos conseils sur l’autogestion. 
• Contrôlez votre poids par une saine alimentation et l’activité physique. Si vous n’atteignez pas vos objectifs, faites-vous aider d’une diététiste et d’un entraîneur/kinésiologue. 
• Observez et soignez méticuleusement votre peau en la nettoyant et en l’hydratant adéquatement.

The good news is that you can reduce or even completely avoid these complications by applying each of the following measures:

• Wear a well-fitting compression garment as instructed by your caregivers, and renew your daytime compression garment every 4 months. See our advice on compression. 
• Drain lymph daily through a combination of physical activity, deep breathing, self-massage and/or professional drainage. See our advice on self-management. 
• Control your weight through healthy eating and physical activity. If you’re not achieving your goals, get help from a dietician and a trainer/kinesiologist. 
• Take meticulous care of your skin by cleansing and moisturizing it properly.
